WUBC at DynamicRock

This Saturday you may have noticed that we shut our doors, this was due to an annual event held at our climbing centre, WUBC. the Welsh university Bouldering Championship, is a bouldering comp were teams are gathered from all around Wales to compete against each other and battle it out to find the top team and individual bouldering champions.

This year there are to be three rounds of which we hosted round two.  Climbers from all over wales took part with some very, very strong displays of pure power, especially from the North Wales teams from Bangor. the local Swansea team were on home turf and also put up a strong display with Jacky winning the female categories and Jon finishing second in a strong male field.

It would be Sorle Haywood who would take the honors in the male categorie with a incredible display of power and technique that would see him complete all 25 problems although more impressive was that he flashed 23 !

The Day was a good Success and everyone had a great time, The up side of this for you is that we know have a completely new set of bouldering problems for you to try.

They will remain up for two weeks and then its time for the 2nd round of the Ruckus!
